What would you do???

What if you were "stranded" with just a trimmer, scissors and 1 other tool? What would it be? Why would you choose that tool? And what would you create? Fiskars designers' website guru, May Flaum, posed just these questions to us for the Featured Article this month. I loved how everyone picked completely different tools and came up with a group of super creative projects.

Here's a peek at mine......... The Round 'n Round (circle) Squeeze Punches were my focus, but if you take a look at the layout in the article I had a hard time resisting most of Fiskars circle tools...lol!


And be sure to check out Lisa Storm's project..... I tell ya, the creativity that woman has with tools is astounding!!!

I'm back!!! And I have stuff to share...

It has been a crazy, busy couple of weeks here for our family with everything from my 15th wedding anniversary... to getting the kids ready for back-to-school... to a trip to the beach...but I'm finally back in the swing of things. :)

This week I have a Sewing Caddy project available as an August 17th Download - check out the bottom right of the Fiskars Crafts home page to link to all the downloads this month. I used one of my favorite Heidi Grace fabrics - Reagan's Closet. It has 3 pockets to keep small tools within easy reach and simply tucks under your sewing machine or any other sturdy object you might have on your sewing table. Here's a peek...



And if you haven't already been following along with Fiskars Summer School take a look at all the incredible projects they have from the Fiskars team and other designers including Claudine Hellmuth, Kelly Goree and Jenni Bowlin to name just a few. I have a Fabric Postcard project from August 6th. And yes, you can actually mail it!



Off to create and catch up on all things crafty.........and to enjoy the remaining days of summer vacation with my kids - I don't really want to school to start yet!
